V Škótsku získala slovenská reprezentácia žien striebro

Slovenská reprezentácia žien dosiahla skvelý úspech, keď v škótskom Dumfries na ME C-kategórie získala strieborné medaily. Naše hráčky najskôr zdolali v semifinále Portugalsko 10:7, vo finále však nestačili na Poľsko (7:8). Slovenky si druhým miestom zabezpečili postup do ME B-kategórie, ktoré sa budú konať v neovembri. Na ME nás reprezentovali Dada Matulová, Maťa Ščepková, Paula Hajduk, Gabriela Kajanová a Jana Matulová. Naše reprezentácie už tretí rok od covidu bojujú s takmer neexistujúcimi možnosťami tréningov na Slovensku, keď curlingová hala v Ružinove je otvorená v priemere iba dva mesiace ročne a aj pred odchodom na ME ženskej reprezentácii odpadli takmer dva týždne tréningov.

Omaha handed North American leg of Curling World Cup

The World Curling Federation, United States Curling Association and Omaha Sports Commission can confirm that the Ralston Arena, in Omaha, Nebraska, United States will host the North American leg of the new Curling World Cup. Omaha will host the second stop in the four leg series, which will run from 5 to 9 December 2018, in the first season.

Word Rankings revision

The World Curling Federation has become aware of an error that has affected the calculation of its mixed doubles World Ranking, published after the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2018 in Oestersund, Sweden. The error has now been resolved and has not affected any of the other World Rankings. The World Curling Federation is sorry for this error.

Delivery Stick Summit concludes in Morris, Canada

The World Curling Federation has concluded its Delivery Stick Summit, in Morris, Manitoba, Canada. The summit was convened to review what delivery sticks are used in wheelchair curling and how they are used in competition.
