Majstrovstvá Európy C-kategórie, Dumfries

V Škótsku získala slovenská reprezentácia žien striebro

Slovenská reprezentácia žien dosiahla skvelý úspech, keď v škótskom Dumfries na ME C-kategórie získala strieborné medaily. Naše hráčky najskôr zdolali v semifinále Portugalsko 10:7, vo finále však nestačili na Poľsko (7:8). Slovenky si druhým miestom zabezpečili postup do ME B-kategórie, ktoré sa budú konať v neovembri. Na ME nás reprezentovali Dada Matulová, Maťa Ščepková, Paula Hajduk, Gabriela Kajanová a Jana Matulová. Naše reprezentácie už tretí rok od covidu bojujú s takmer neexistujúcimi možnosťami tréningov na Slovensku, keď curlingová hala v Ružinove je otvorená v priemere iba dva mesiace ročne a aj pred odchodom na ME ženskej reprezentácii odpadli takmer dva týždne tréningov.
Výsledky Sloveniek: Holandsko 1:10, Francúzsko 8:4, Írsko 8:4, Ukrajina 9:3, Srbsko 14:1, Wales 7:4, Španielsko 6:10, Portugalsko 8:4,  Poľsko 4:8, semifinále: Portugalsko 10:7, finále: Poľsko 7:8

Rachel Homan put in a flawless performance to lead Canada to a 7-3 victory over Sweden in the women's final at the Curling World Cup first leg in Suzhou, China. The Canadian skip has been a class act all week and was the star turn once more in a final which her rink dominated throughout.

Canada win first-ever Curling World Cup mixed doubles finals

Laura Walker and Kirk Muyres gave Canada the perfect start to Curling World Cup finals day in Suzhou, China with victory in the mixed doubles final over the United States. Their 7-3 victory, in the brand new Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre, hinged on a steal for three points in the fifth end as United States' Sarah Anderson got the wrong line with a takeout shot.
