Slováci skončili v skupne na 5. mieste

Slovenskí reprezentanti skončili na MS v Aberdeene v D-skupine na 5. mieste a do play-off nepostúpili. Naše druždtvo zaznamenalo zo siedmich zápasov 3 víťazstvá a 4 prehry a celkovo obsadilo v konkurencii 34 tímov 19. priečku. Slovensko reprezentovalo na turnaji kvarteto Martina Ščepková, Róbert Masaryk, Daniela Matulová a Jakub Polák.
Výsledky SR: Ukrajina 6:9, Nigéria 7:3, Nórsko 2:9, Lotyšsko 1:9, Hong Kong 13:4, Švajčiarko 2:7, Česko 5:4

In Saturday (17 March) afternoon's opening session of round-robin play at the Ford World Women's Curling Championship 2018 being staged in the North Bay Memorial Gardens in Ontario, Canada eight of the 13 teams involved played their first games.

China win historic Paralympic gold

China made history in Saturday (17 March) evening's Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 gold medal final in the Gangneung Curling Centre, when they defeated Norway 6-5 after an extra end to claim China's first ever Paralympic Winter Games medals. Norway's silver was their first ever Paralympic wheelchair curling medal.

Canada win Paralympic wheelchair curling bronze medals

Canada continued their record of medalling in every Paralympic Winter Games wheelchair curling competition, when they defeated Korea 5-3 to win the bronze medals today (Saturday 17 March) in the Gangneung Curling Centre. Korea began the game with the last stone advantage but were unable to make it count with Canada stealing two points in the first end.

China and Norway to compete for Paralympic gold medals after semi-final wins

Norway were taken all the way to an extra end in their semi-final before they defeated hosts Korea 8-6, to go on to face China in Saturday (17 March) afternoon's gold medal final. China defeated Canada by a score of 4-3 in the other semi-final at the Gangneung Curling Centre. Canada and Korea will play for bronze medals on Saturday morning.
