Šampionát sa začal na Zimnom štadióne V. Dzurillu v Ružinove cez víkend od 15. septembra. Titul obhajujú ženy CC Martin, medzi mužmi sa rozhodne v dohrávanom finále medzi CC Poprad a CC Martin.

Unbeaten Canada join Sweden in reaching Ford World Women's final

Canada beat United States by 9-7 in a semi-final that went all the way to the last stone of the last end at the Ford World Women's Curling Championship 2018 in North Bay, Canada. The host team now face Olympic champions Sweden – earlier winners of the other semi-final against Russia, in Sunday (25 March) afternoon's final.

Thanks largely to a record-equalling score of seven points in the ninth end of their 10-3 win over Olympic silver medallists Korea, United States will now face table-toppers Canada in Saturday (24 March) evening's second semi-final of the Ford World Women's Curling Championship 2018, being staged in North Bay, Canada.
